Our events are the heartbeat of the foundation—bringing people together to celebrate Kyle’s life while raising funds that directly support student scholarships.



Our Past Events
April 2023 – Miles for Kyle 5K
Our early efforts began with a 5K run/walk—bringing the community together in remembrance and support. The 5k raised more than $2,000 to support our scholarship fund.
March & April 2024 – Handmade Two-Seater Bench Raffle
Participants had the chance to win a beautiful, handmade wooden bench made by Kyle's uncle, Neil DeMaio. The raffle raised more than $4,000 and Lynn Piscopo was the very excited winner!
April 2024 – Miles for Kyle 5K + Family Fun Day
The following year we expanded into a full community event with a 5k run/walk, lawn games and activities, raffles and fun for the entire family to enjoy. The 5k Family Fun Day raised more than $2,000 to support our student scholarships.
March & April 2025 – One-Of-A-Kind Handmade Live Edge Table & Bench Raffle
Participants had the chance to win a unique, handmade two-seater wooden bench featuring a live edge tabletop, crafted by Kyle's uncle, Neil DeMaio. The raffle raised more than $3,000 and Brian Delong was the happy winner!
April 2025 – Miles for Kyle Pickleball Edition
Hosted at Papa Joe’s Bayside in Panama City, this marked our first pickleball tournament featuring two divisions of play, double elimination and over a dozen participating teams, along with exciting prize raffles and a 50/50 raffle in a beautiful setting. The tournament raised more than $3,000 to support our scholarship fund. Winners in the "Competitive" division were Matt and Devin, while Rosie and Brittney won the "Just for Fun" division.
March & April 2026 – Handmade Live Edge Pine Bench Raffle
Participants had the chance to win a stunning, handmade live edge pine bench with two side tables, crafted with love by Kyle’s uncle, Neil DeMaio. The raffle raised more than $4,000 and Larry Cavazza was the lucky winner!
2026 – Miles for Kyle Pickleball Edition
Hosted once again at Papa Joe’s Bayside in Panama City, our second annual pickleball tournament featured one division, double elimination and ten participating teams, along with exciting prize raffles and a 50/50 raffle. The tournament raised more than $3000 to support our student scholarships. "Champions" were the Tap Boys (Freddy & Joe) and "Runners Up" were the Big Dill team (Trevor & Dan).
